Thank you for your wonderful article Bob. I really appreciate you sharing your research and experiences with us on this subject. Your articles always give me peace of mind and help alleviate any fears that may come up when it comes to thinking about death, so thank you.

A couple of questions for you. What are your thoughts on people having a choice when it comes to their time to pass away? Could any of the people in your stories possibly have had the choice to stay or was it simply their appointed time and that's the end? I have read over the years that there are certain points in a person's life when they may have the opportunity to leave or stay, but then there are other times when it is simply "time to go" and so you are on your way.

When my brother passed away very suddenly at the age of 38 in 2004, my family and I were completely devastated. At the time, when he was just getting ready to pass, we tried everything to bring him back...we even brought people in from the church to pray over him (even after he passed) invoking the name of Jesus so hopefully he would be "raised from the dead". When that didn't happen, we were devastated and my dad was inconsolable, until one day about a week later, my dad acted like a completely changed man. He said that my brother visited him in a dream and told him that he was happy and that he had a choice and chose to leave. This gave us all a tremendous amount of comfort and we were thankful for this information. I have also read about people choosing to leave because they would be a greater help to their loved ones in spirit rather than if they still were alive as a human. Just wondering what your thoughts on the concept of some people having a choice or when it's just their time.....if you have already shared an article on this, I would love to read it.

In deep gratitude,

Leasa

Hi Leasa, Everything you've mentioned is also my understanding based on my investigation. Yes, people do sometimes have a choice. And some do choose what we know of as death to help others from the other side. I believe Anita Moorjani told me in my interview with her on Afterlife TV that she was given a choice. Others, like children for example, are not given that choice. This often happens because it is within their soul's plan to have a short life. They were never meant to live into adulthood. I'm so happy to hear your story about your father's dream. A true dream visitation. Your brother knew it was important for him to come through to his dad for that reason. I appreciate you sharing this story with your insightful questions, Bob
