Bob…My mother, who I did not get along with very well in life, appeared to me in a dream about a year after she died. At the time she died her physical appearance was of a very old, white-haired woman. In the dream appearance she looked about 45 and in radiant good health. Her expression was of immense love. I said to her, “Why am I seeing you?”. She smiled, hugged me, and disappeared instantly. Since that happened all bitter thoughts of her have left me. Do you think thqt was a true “visitation” from beyond death?
Yes, Ann, that has the ingredients of a true visitation. They often show themselves at an age when they felt most vibrant. I'm going to assume that her expression of immense love could be felt by you as well as seen, which is partly why your bitter thoughts dissipated--you were able to experience her true love for you, which she might have been unable to convey to you when in her physical body. She didn't need to answer your question because you obviously learned why you were seeing her. I'm not sure that a typical dream created by our imagination or brain processing life can provide such instant and lasting effects. Dream visitations, however, can be quite healing. Thank you for sharing that amazing occurrence.
When i hear Bob Olson, i can hear your voice and imagine your laugh. It’s a great laugh. I have listened to many interviews of you and countless people giving their story. I love YOUR ( & Melissa’s) story. So for me, i like The Bob Olson Connect but i would watch, listen and read whatever you put out regardless of the name.
Thank you, Francine! I chose Bob Olson Connect originally because I only offer this to people who already know me, so I thought my name was synonymous with the afterlife to all of you. It also opened me up to write about other subjects occasionally. Only recently did I begin to wonder if changing the name would allow newcomers to know what my Substack account is all about.
The "Connect," in my mind, is all about me connecting with you, members connecting with one another, and generally all of us connecting with our spiritual core. But less people have been interested in the community aspect than I expected. Of course, I haven't yet told my YouTube community about Bob Olson Connect yet, which is over 60,000 people, so I thought that if I'm going to change the name, I should do it before I announce it to them, which I plan to do soon.
Thank you for your feedback and kind remarks, which is really important to me. Funny, I'm always a little self-conscious about my laugh, but I've had two people find me in a large crowd because they heard my laugh and followed it to me. Guess I could be identified for worse reasons, so I'll take it. 😁

I like everything you have put out. I loved the videos years ago, never missed them, bought your two books and gave them as gifts too.
Anything you choose to do is fine with me. I’m just glad you and your “voice” is back😊✊…
Hi Marilise, such a nice comment to wake up to. Thank you!
I agree with Francine all the way! Plus I like your bright smile!
Thank you so much, Margi! That puts a smile on my face. 😁
