Bob, your comment on schools in the afterlife: in one early reading I had with a medium, my mom commented that she had 'attended school' to learn how to better communicate with the living. It was my first understanding of that idea, and I admit, it really surprised me. Thanks for confirming this actually is a real thing.

You're welcome, Bruce. I, too, love when confirmation makes an appearance.

Yeah…that’s nice. He seems genuine. I’ll need to sign up to more sessions to get into a rhythm so I can understand these guys.

Thank you so much fir this thorough description of the afterlife. I had the sense that spirit continues to help us in the way that works best for us. I also have noticed that readings I get from my loved ones seem to "improve " and change over time as I become more comfortable with my understanding of the afterlife.

Hi Tina, I agree with that. Often, our first readings with mediums involve some skepticism or at least us getting used to the process. In later readings, we know what to expect and aren't seeking evidence that mediumship is real so much as more meaningful messages from our loved ones in spirit. This, as you noted, is where the readings improve in a variety of ways. Even our deceased loved ones are pleased to be able to convey messages that are more direct and meaningful to us. Thanks Tina for bringing this important point up.

Bob, long read but revealing to the end of your writing. I guess we’ll have to wait and see? I once joined a workshop conducted by Paul Selig who channels works from a couple of Guides. So, here’s a couple of Spirits who are giving back to the physical world. The trouble i had in their teachings was it was very difficult to comprehend. They speak from what I’m told an ancient dialect. Have you researched Dr. Selig? These guys have published bunch of books. Anyway, I’d like to hear your thoughts. Gene

Hi Eugene, Paul's guides is a GREAT example of these jobs or callings that we as spirits have taken on. Yes, I know Paul Selig. He's become a dear friend of mine. I've interviewed him twice, which led to him visiting Melissa and I a few times here in Maine. In my first interview with him, he channels a few times, which as you noted takes some getting used to. I'm used to it now, so I have learned to tune out the first time he says the guided message and only hear the second time where he's repeating it for us, the audience. Here's my first interview with Paul, which is quite amazing: http://www.afterlifetv.com/2015/09/03/removing-fear-to-see-your-true-essence-as-a-divine-being-channeling-with-paul-selig/

Wonderfully clear description! I have been told by several well known mediums that I help people with their life review when I am out of my body during my sleep. Perhaps my soul (or the aspect of my soul in this lifetime) does that and I just tap into it and that is what the mediums ascertain?

Hi Karen, I think your interpretation of that is correct. I remember near-death experiencer, Natalie Sudman, explaining that during her NDE, she found herself standing on stage in front of an audience of spiritual beings (teaching them what she was learning from her human life). I asked if she was already doing that before she had her NDE and the NDE simply made her aware of it. She had to think about it but realized that, yes, it was already happening, but the NDE merely allowed her to recognize it. I would suspect that is true for you as well. I'm thinking that you might have access to this while in your dream state. Perhaps with time, you'll wake up with the awareness of you teaching others about the life review. That would be cool. Thanks for sharing Karen!

Hi Bob, Thank you for another great article. I know how much goes into the writing of meaningful postings. As a blogger, I've spent hours editing my work to make sure it conveys exactly what I have in mind. It's not just a case of typing it up and pressing Enter! Here, again, you've created a comprehensive view which allows for individuality in every sense.

It's not easy to discuss the subject of the Afterlife unless the other party has done some research and come to some conclusions. in my case I find there is always more to learn, so those conclusions must evolve!!! (if that's possible). So thank you for being part of my personal evolution. Anyway ...

My readings on the Afterlife have, frankly, made me a bit impatient - I'm keen to get there! It sounds just amazing. The meeting up with deceased loved ones, including beloved pets, the life review which sounds a bit scary - let's face it, we've all done stuff we're ashamed of, then the reunion with our soul group. I love the sound of that. How amazing to be able to get together with like-minded folk and to chew over anything and everything we want to. (On earth, particularly nowadays, those of us who think outside the box have a bit of a hard time establishing a tribe). Then, and this is what I am particularly keen to experience, that incredible 'library' that holds the Akashic records.

I would encourage others to express their ideas bearing in mind not everyone feels happy or confident or inclined to do so in print. Comments are so valuable, not just to the writer but to other readers.

In the meantime, with much love and many blessings from South West France.

Hi Sue, I agree that the comments are so valuable. While most commenters are writing to me here, we all know that others are reading them too. If someone asks me a question, for instance, you can be sure 100 other people who did not comment have that same question. And when sharing experiences, most of the comments after my articles are sharing experiences that help to fill out what I've taught. I might give three examples, but commenters show two or three additional examples that are not just hypothetical, but rather, real-life examples. Thank you! Hope the weather in South West France is beautiful today.

Thanks Linda! I too always get new insights when rereading articles or watching videos for a second time, especially if time has passed between viewings. Glad you enjoyed it.
